Multi Skillz faced two challenges.
On one hand, it was difficult to maintain a steady stream of revenues and on the other hand, it was not obvious to involve all members in funding. In 2020, corona caused all classes to stop.
“All training camps and classes were cancelled”, said Jente.
Multi SkillZ wants to continuously invest in the development of their own organization and members. This means that they invest every euro they earn, back into their own community, consisting of children, parents and their own team of enthusiastic coaches. In order to continue stimulating this personal growth in a systematic way, they looked for new sources of funding and found BUFFL.
Through BUFFL, Multi Skillz Waasland was able to raise additional funds on an almost constant basis. They used their coaches as ambassadors to inform their members about the possibilities of the app.
“The flyers we got from BUFFL were also super handy," said Jente. "You just scan the QR code and anyone can download the app."
They used as many channels as possible to reach people (Facebook, flyers, word-of-mouth from the coaches,...) and to properly explain what BUFFL does and how saving in the app works exactly.
“We worked with specific saving goals to motivate and encourage people to keep using the app. We noticed that our members were very excited when they knew that by completing surveys they could save for new sports equipment."
In just one month, they collected €300 and convinced 41 people to download the app and fill out surveys on a regular basis.
