Saturday, August 24th 2024, will remain in our memories for a long time. Not just because Maanrock 2024 took place in the heart of Mechelen, the hometown of BUFFL, but because we wanted to give this edition a special touch.
Our Herdies are the heart of BUFFL, and so we decided to put a limited number of them “in the spotlight” this summer to thank them for their loyalty. We invited a select group and introduced them to the BUFFL team in an intimate way at a unique location.
The evening began with an unexpected twist: a heavy rainstorm, complete with gusty winds, caused some delays. Unfortunately, this also meant that a few Herdies couldn’t make it. Nonetheless, the evening kicked off with a warm welcome at The Chapel, an atmospheric venue in the center of Mechelen in the shadow of the St. Rombouts Cathedral.
Our guests were served refined snacks and drinks, and had the opportunity to interact with each other and the BUFFL team. It was a unique opportunity to get to know the faces behind BUFFL and exchange ideas in a relaxed setting. Of course, we also had some nice goodies waiting for them as a sign of our appreciation.
At BUFFL, the opinions of our community are key, therefore, following our slogan “Decide what's next,” we gave the Herdies present the chance to choose the music they wanted to hear during this evening and thus the BUFFL Herdies playlist was born. After this cosy gathering, we headed to Maanrock, where our Herdies were able to enjoy the various performances this edition had to offer. The atmosphere was wonderful, it was an evening full of music, fun and connection.
